Since 2013, Orion has been reaching out to inspire the next generation of musicians though our Noisy Notes programme, travelling around the south-east of England to give kids from every background the opportunity and encouragement to pick up a musical instrument.

At each concert, we bring together local partners by inviting schools, instrument shops, and local music organisations who give children the opportunity to try out a musical instrument, and sign up for lessons after the concert. With the help of these partners, we can make sure that children don't just get inspired by Noisy Notes, but participate in music and become musicians themselves.

At each Noisy Notes concert, we're helped by special guests like Sue Perkins and Anna Richardson, who conduct the orchestra, and make sure that everybody can join in.

Noisy Notes Theme.jpg

Noisy Notes has its own very special theme song, written by none-other than Prog-Rock Legend Rick Wakeman! Kids learn the song at each concert, ready for a big group performance at the end. Noisy Notes CDs are also available at each concert, helping to raise funds for programme.
